Abstract
Background:Activationanddysregulationofinnate,adaptiveandresidentimmunecellsinresponsetodamagedeterminethepathophysiologyofdemyelinatingdisorders.Amongtheplethoraofinvolvedcells,microglia/macrophagesandastrocytesplayanimportantroleinthepathogenesisofdemyelinatingdisorders.Thein-depthinvestigationofthespatio-temporalprofileofthesecelltypesinvivomayinformabouttheexactdiseasestateandlocalizationaswellasmayallowtomonitortherapeuticmodulationofthe
